"I contracted Alex to spearhead visual design and produce art assets for a tabletop board game, and I can wholeheartedly say he was fantastic to work with and would be a boon to any team he's on. From a purely artistic standpoint, Alex knows his stuff. I tasked him with creating a wide variety of characters, items, and set pieces, and his work was always high-quality and professionally made.
He has a strong grasp of anatomy, composition, and color theory that shows in every piece he created. I was able to lean on his expertise to produce a solid visual design that drove the entire project forward. "I had the pleasure of working with Alexis several years ago in my capacity as producer/director of the feature-length documentary Union Time: Fighting for Workers' Rights. This documentary tells the story of the successful unionization of the world's largest pork slaughterhouse, operated by Smithfield Foods in Tar Heel, NC.
Having very little illustrative footage to insert in the interviews, I engaged Alexis to create a number of black and white drawings to help the audience visualize the story elements. Mr. Rodriguez did fantastic work, and his drawings provide critical visual power to the story as it unfolds.
